  • How to Use

Recommended Serving Size, Intervals, Cycling, and Application

    Serving Size

For CBD Isolate powder, the suggested serving size is 50 mg, taken once to twice per day.

For Purified Mint Hemp Extract (THC free), the serving size is half a dropper (0.5 mL), taken once to twice per day. Half a dropper contains 25 mg of pure CBD isolate.

CBD Isolate can be consumed in a number of ways. The most common ways of taking CBD Isolate include:

    1. Taken directly as a powder, encapsulated, or consumed directly in oil form.

    2. CBD Isolate can also be added to foods – for example, yoghurt, fruit smoothies, breakfast cereals, or almost any other food item. One of the best things about CBD Isolate is that the serving size is a very small amount and is almost undetectable when added to food – making it ideal for cooking with.

Important Information, Servings Size, Benefits, and Side Effects

CBD Isolate products contain purified cannabidiol (CBD), extracted from US-grown hemp plants (low-THC content strains of Cannabis sativa). CBD Isolates are non-psychotropic and contain no THC. Unlike Hemp Extract Oils, the CBD Isolates do not contain any terpenes, cannabinoid oils, phytochemicals, or any additional ingredients. Overall, CBD Isolates offer the purest form of CBD available.

The recommended serving size is 50 mg for the CBD Isolate powder.

For the Purified Hemp Isolate Oil, the recommended serving size is half a dropper (0.5 mL) taken once to twice daily, and a single serving is standardized to a minimum amount of 25 mg Pure CBD.

Side effects are uncommon and mild but may include nausea, upset stomach, irritability, fatigue, and loss of appetite.

Do not exceed the recommended serving size. Use responsibly.

    What is CBD Isolate?

Our CBD Isolate products are produced from US-grown low-THC-content Cannabis sativa (hemp) plant strains and are then purified to remove THC, oils, waxes, terpenes, and all additional plant material. The result is a high-quality, 98+% purity cannabidiol (CBD) powder or tincture product.

LiftMode Hemp CBD Isolate is 98+% pure CBD and contains 0% THC.

To produce CBD Isolate from hemp plants, three steps are used.

First, a similar extraction process is followed that is used for the production of full spectrum or broad spectrum hemp extracts. Next, a process of purification takes place, which includes filtration to remove the plant matter, and, finally, a “winterization” process removes all excess waxes and oils.

The final product is a pure CBD isolate without THC (the < 0.3% THC present in hemp plant material is also removed during the purification process).

This is the purest form of Cannabidiol and is recommended to people who prefer to consume THC-free products (police officers, pilots, doctors), or for persons who are sensitive to THC.

    Chemical Information

    Cannabidiol (CBD) Isolate

As with all our products, the most important active component of the Hemp Extract Oil is the cannabidiol (CBD) compound. Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive component of cannabis with significant health benefits and is the subject of significant amounts of ongoing research.

CBD is obtained by extraction from the hemp strain of legal hemp plants (with < 0.3% THC, by law). The extraction and purification process that follows means that only pure (98+%) CBD remains.

    The image below shows the chemical structure of the cannabidiol molecule. CBD has a molecular mass of 314.469 g/mol, a melting point of 66 °C (150 °F) and a boiling point of around 160 – 180 °C (320 – 356 °F).

    Key Benefits of CBD Isolates

Most importantly, CBD Isolates are high purity and full-strength CBD products that contain no THC or any additional cannabinoids, terpenes, or plant materials.

Although the THC content in Hemp Extracts is always below 0.3% (far too low to produce any psychoactive effects), there are still a number of reasons why people might prefer a THC free product – and this is where CBD Isolates are highly recommended.

For example, persons who are sensitive to THC, or are unable to use Full-Spectrum Extracts, or just anybody who would prefer to use a more refined, pure version of CBD.

It’s interesting to note that, while many people do claim that the effects of Full Spectrum Extracts are more immediately noticeable than those of CBD isolates, the majority of studies into the subject of CBD use for potential future therapeutic purposes use pure CBD Isolates.

So, this means that there is, for the time-being, slightly more research supporting the benefits of CBD Isolates over Full Spectrum Hemp Extracts.

We currently stock two versions of CBD Isolates:

CBD Isolate Powder– The purest version of CBD available on our website. This white crystalline powder is 98+ % pure CBD without any THC. It contains no plant material whatsoever and is just pure CBD crystals.

The CBD powder is isolated from legal hemp plants to produce a refined solid product. The serving size is 50 mg and it can be consumed directly, encapsulated, or added to a variety of foods and drinks.

Purified Mint Extract – Our Mint Isolate Oil uses a purified CBD isolate oil (with 98% pure CBD). It has a refined minty flavour and contains no THC. This is recommended for those who’d like to add their CBD to food, or for anyone who is looking for a slightly ‘lighter’ version of Hemp Extract Oil.

Like the powder form, this product also contains zero phytochemicals, cannabinoid oils, waxes, terpenes, or plant material. A single 0.5 mL droplet is standardized to a serving size of 25 mg pure CBD.

CBD Isolate Powder vs Pure CBD Tincture

It is useful to consider the differences between CBD Isolate powder (crystals) and pure CBD tincture oil. We stock both these products and have experience with both.

Both CBD crystals and the pure CBD tincture contain the same active component – cannabidiol, without any THC nor any additional plant material. Both are highly refined products offering a very pure form of this powerful compound.

While you may have your own preferences as to which product will suit you more, here are our recommendations:

    Pure CBD Isolate Tincture

Our Purified CBD Isolate Tincture is recommended to customers who are relatively new to CBD products and would prefer to use a product without any THC. Its minty flavour and refined taste make it ideal for cooking.

The easy use of the dropper means that no prior experience with measuring scales or encapsulation is required to get the perfect serving size. The Isolate Tincture is great for someone looking to experience the benefits of pure CBD with no THC, in an accessible and easy-to-use format.

    CBD Crystalline Isolate Powder

Our CBD Isolate powder is recommended to more experienced persons who are familiar with handling, measuring, and correctly storing powder substances. The CBD Isolate powder does come with a measuring scoop, but it is important to be somewhat experienced in order to get the correct serving size.

For more accurate measurements, we recommend using a milligram scale. The crystalline form does offer some advantages – it can be encapsulated, has no distinctive flavour, and can be consumed in a variety of manners, some of which are not possible with the tincture products.

    Safety and Toxicity

    Side Effects

Overall, CBD has a very good safety profile with low toxicity, as further confirmed by several recent studies and reviews.

It is important to note that there may be some interactions with medications, especially when using CBD Isolates.

Do not use any CBD products if you are taking medication. Further, CBD Isolates offer much more potent forms of cannabidiol than Hemp Extract Oils. It is important to use these products responsibly and not to exceed the serving size.

According to some sources, the side effects of cannabidiol may include nausea, irritability, fatigue, diarrhoea, and a loss of appetite.

To avoid the risk of adverse effects, do not exceed the recommended serving size. Please ensure that you read and fully understand the effects of this product before purchasing and use responsibly.

  1. What is CBD Isolate?

As hemp-based products become increasingly accessible around the world, more and more people are becoming interested in learning about the many uses and benefits of CBD oil. CBD is becoming well-known for its antioxidant and wellness supporting effects while also promoting calm and relaxation and promoting overall wellbeing.

Full-spectrum CBD products also contain a range of supporting terpenes, cannabinoids, and phytochemicals. Full-spectrum CBD oils make use of the synergistic nature of the compounds found in the hemp plant, to produce a well-rounded, holistic effect.

  1. How do you compare CBD isolate vs full-spectrum?

A common question that we get asked is to compare CBD isolate vs full spectrum. This is a relatively straightforward question. Full spectrum CBD products contain a wide variety of cannabinoids, phytochemicals, terpenes, and a low percentage of THC. It is a fairly crude extract of the hemp plant, and is often said to have more noticeable effects.

CBD isolates have been further distilled to remove all phytochemicals, terpenes, cannabinoids, and plant material (as well as THC). Therefore, a CBD isolate is just pure CBD (usually 98-99% purity). CBD isolates are recommended for people with prior CBD experience or for those who cannot have any THC in their products at all.

  1. Is CBD isolate water-soluble?

CBD isolate is extracted from hemp oil. This means that CBD isolate is hydrophobic by nature and is, therefore, not soluble in water. This goes for all CBD products.

  1. Why should I buy CBD from LiftMode Hemp?

We are a family-run business based in Chicago, Illinois and have built up a fantastic reputation over the years with our high-quality dietary supplements on We have an excellent score on Trustpilot and pride ourselves in our customer service. We source our organic hemp from nearby farms and ensure that the no pesticides or herbicides are used (and no GMOs).

We submit all LiftMode Hemp products for third-party testing at independent laboratories. Finally, we are unique in offering hemp products with carefully selected additional ingredients to synergize with the broad effects of CBD – based on our years of experience producing high-quality dietary supplements.

  1. Does CBD isolate show up in a drug test?

One question we often get asked about is whether or not CBD isolate has THC, and whether it can show up in a drug test. CBD isolates contain ZERO percent THC. Therefore, they are considered safe to use by most people who are concerned about drug tests. However, due to risk of false positives, especially on older drug tests, we CANNOT guarantee that consumers of any CBD product are 100% assured to never test positive for THC if subject to a THC screening.

  1. How to use CBD Isolate powder?

There are several ways to use CBD isolate powder. By far, the easiest option is to place a well-measured serving of CBD isolate under your tongue (sublingual) and keep it there for up to 60 seconds. This allows the CBD to be absorbed into the mucus membranes and to enter your bloodstream faster.

You can also mix CBD isolate powder into a morning juice or smoothie, a cup of coffee, or adding it to sugar and using it as a ‘CBD sweetener’. From time to time, people ask us about dabbing CBD isolate powder. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this method of consumption.

  1. How long will my order take to arrive?

This depends on the shipping method that you select at checkout. All US orders qualify for free shipping. Depending on your location and the desired speed of delivery, you may wish to choose a different shipping option. Most of our shipments arrive within 1 – 5 business days.
