What is CBD and where does it come from?
CBD is a chemical compound extracted from hemp strains of the Cannabis sativa plant. Along with THC, CBD is the best understood of several dozen related cannabinoid compounds. CBD is a non-psychoactive phytochemical with a myriad of perceived health benefits.
What is CBD Oil?
CBD oil is extracted from hemp plants with high percentage concentrations of CBD and very low (less than 0.3%) concentrations of THC. The most common technique for extracting CBD is called Winterization, which removes all undesirable elements and retains a crude CBD oil, which can later be refined. LiftMode Hemp CBD oil is made from US-grown hemp plants with the highest quality standards.
Can you use CBD oil for anxiety and pain?
CBD oil is used by many people around the world to support a healthy body and mind. We often get asked about using CBD for specific medical purposes – for example, against pain or anxiety. In accordance with FDA regulations, none of our products are manufactured or intended for use in the treatment, diagnosis, or cure of any disease or ailment. So, unfortunately, we cannot recommend using any of our products for any medical issue – including anxiety or pain relief.
Does CBD oil expire?
Yes. CBD oil and other CBD products have an expiration date. When stored in a sealed container in a dark, cool space, CBD oil has a shelf life of 1-2 years. All LiftMode Hemp products are sold with a digital QR code on the label. You can scan this QR code to view details about your product – including a certificate of analysis from a third-party laboratory, as well as further information about the batch and expiration date.
Does CBD help with depression?
Many LiftMode Hemp customers use CBD oil to help support a positive, calm mood. Nevertheless, according to FDA regulations, we cannot recommend using our products to treat, cure, or diagnose any disease or ailment – including depression or other specific medical questions that our customers may ask us.
What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Both hemp and marijuana are strains of the Cannabis sativa plant. However, hemp is used in industrial processes – for the production of fibers, building materials, hemp seeds, fabrics, and CBD products. Hemp has a very low concentration of the psychoactive compound THC. In the US, hemp plants must contain less than 0.3% THC. Marijuana refers to strains of Cannabis that contain high concentrations of THC and typically low concentrations of CBD. Modern marijuana plants may contain THC concentrations as high as 20 – 30%. THC is psychoactive and is illegal in many states and countries.
Does CBD get you high?
No. CBD does not get you high. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound with numerous health benefits. It is currently being researched for use in a number of medical applications.
Is CBD legal?
CBD is federally legal in the United States. LiftMode Hemp can ship CBD products to all US states. Internationally, a growing number of countries are legalizing hemp-derived cannabis products. However, if you live outside the US, it is very important that you first check the legal status of CBD in your country before ordering from us.
What is the difference between hemp seed oil and CBD oil?
Hemp seed oil is typically used in cooking and contains high levels of omega-3s and omega-6s, as well as vitamin E, and linoleic acid (LA). Hemp seed oil does not contain an effective amount of CBD or THC. CBD oil is extracted from the flowers and leaves of hemp plants and contains a range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and phytochemicals.
